This webinar will focus on curriculum for elementary physical education and the selection of that content. It will discuss the differences between activities and skill acquisition within curriculum, the differences between a "busy, happy, good" curriculum and teaching for student growth in physical education. It will lead the participant into the design of curriculum with deliberate practice, feedback, etc. for student learning, and will also include a microscope for evaluating activities before selecting them for physical education. With reference to the grade-level outcomes within SHAPE America's National Standards, participants will develop the strategy for matching outcomes to the reality of teaching environments.
