From Brain Breaks to Brain Boosts
Given the significant number of hours youth spend at school, schools are the ideal place to advance physical activity (PA); nonetheless, less than 4% of grade schools across the nation provide daily physical instruction. Consequently, the large majority of the school day is spent sitting in the classroom with little opportunity to engage in PA. Separately, findings indicate a significant gap exists in learning and social norms among students of all ages, backgrounds, and academic levels. This webinar series will focus on an updated approach for educators to connect PA, academics, and social connectedness.
